AWA Collective is extending DIFW's spirit of independent, boundary-pushing creativity beyond fashion into film, art and rave culture. Together, we're building a deeper connection between Ireland and the Black diaspora — through fashion, film, and music — from Sekera Mohamed Besta's unflinching diaspora storytelling, live art with Keanu the Pilot and a fashion exhibition with Floxy. As well as an after hours event focused on introducing the Irish rave scene to authentically African and Carribean electronic sounds such as Gqom, Soca, Bouyon and Kuduro as well as familiar sounds like funky techno, UK funky, Afro house, ghetto tech and of course Detroit house and techno.
