Fashion today isn’t confined to magazines. It’s happening in clubs, on dancefloors, in bathrooms, in blogs and in group chats.
After Dark: Dressing the Dancefloor brings together people working across Irish fashion, music, photography, film and nightlife to talk about getting dressed, going out, and everything that happens in between. What do our nights out have to do with the way we dress? And why do so many of fashion’s best ideas start after dark?
We’ll talk about getting dressed as ritual and performance, the dancefloor as somewhere to try on different versions of yourself, and the scenes and subcultures that shape how we dress. It’s less of a traditional panel and more of a conversation, so audience participation is very much encouraged. Come ready to talk about finding yourself on the dancefloor and stick around for a dance after.
