DIFW launched in 2023 as a grassroots, designer-led initiative created to fill a gap in Ireland’s fashion landscape. What began as a conversation between independent designers became a three-day event at The Chocolate Factory, bringing together runway shows, exhibitions, pop-up showrooms, and panel discussions focused on sustainability and independent design. The debut marked the start of a new platform built by designers, for designers, and set the foundation for what DIFW has become today.
